This is Dottie, one of MerryBelle’s little girl puppies who was born on January 1, 2012.  She is growing and thriving and now trying a little puppy mash.  We know that she is at least half basset from the maternal side, but we are unsure of her paternal breeding. She will be available for adoption in late spring.

I am just learning to be around other dogs, so right now I bark at them but soon I am going to join in and play! Fred is my name. I’ll just tell ya right off, if you don’t want to fall in love with me… better stay home. I am awesome! My middle name is cuddle bug. I am very handsome. I know because I’m told so by every person I meet. I love children, cats and other dogs. Horses and cows are cool too. Nothing much bothers me. I’m a real solid citizen. I was a bit lethargic when I first arrived at my foster home but they figured out I was having trouble with my thyroid. I’m on pills now and the energy is coming back. I love love love to ride in the car. If I don’t think the ride has been long enough I’ll just sit in there till I’m satisfied. I am an excellent companion. If you sit down my head is going to be in your lap. I eat all my meals in the kennel. I have no problem with the crate, it’s cozy. I’m working on being 100% house broke. I’m doing well in that area but I still have an accident sometimes. I will succeed though, I promise. I can sit, I’ve learned to down and have recently added the begging routine to the act. I am super friendly and love everyone. If you share my interest in long distance riding I would live to meet ya.
